What it’s like to work at Usersnap

Usersnap has been called a “European startup to watch out for” by Forbes Magazine and have recently won the CESAward and the Born Global Champions Award. We are an international company with operations in Linz, Vienna, and San Francisco. But what is it like to work at Usersnap? We decided to do a virtual tour through our office to give you a glimpse what it’s like to work with us.

Let’s get to work

Slack

We use Slack to communicate with our team. Apart from 1-1 communication, channels help us to stay updated of what is going on in our various departments. We share successes, stories, but also ask for ideas. Our #random channel with various funny stories is particularly popular.

“I love Slack because it combines async and synchronous communication perfectly. No matter if live chatting, video calling, or texting someone. It just works. And it brings the whole team closer together, as it makes communication easier.”

Thomas, Growth Manager at Usersnap

Work on innovative products

At Usersnap we get to work on two innovative products: the Usersnap bug tracker and our customer care solution Alpaca, which we will officially launch very soon.

“Even before I started working at Usersnap, I used the Usersnap bug tracker, which saves a lot of time, when you are trying to communicate with other team members. Working on cutting-edge products is a thrilling experience and also a lot of fun!

Based in Austria, operating internationally

Usersnap is headquartered in Linz, but we are operating globally. 96% of our customers are located outside of Austria and this international spirit is deeply ingrained in our work culture.

Our company language is English and in our team of 15, we have people from many nationalities.

“I am responsible for answering questions and finding solutions for our customers from all over the world. It’s an exciting and challenging task to make sure customers get the best help possible. It’s definitely a big plus that we have an international team right here in the office. I’m from the Philippines and we have people from Croatia, Germany, the US and all parts of Austria on our team.”

Haydee, Customer Success Manager at Usersnap

Team Meetings

Daily Stand-up Dev Team

The daily standup-meeting is led by our CPO Josef. Every morning our developers and designers meet in the kitchen area to discuss daily tasks and responsibilities. This ensures that everyone knows what the other ones are doing.

“Our daily stand-up is a great way to start the day and to come together in the beginning. This is the place where our dev team comes together and shares feedback and challenges.”

Josef, CPO and Co-Founder at Usersnap

Weekly Jour Fixe

Our revenue team, which consists of Marketing, Growth, PR, Sales, and Customer Care, comes together once a week for an extended Jour fixe. We discuss current events, but also share metrics and ideas.

“I try to keep everyone informed and updated as much as possible. Our weekly jour fixe can also consist of multiple one-on-one meetings. Whatever makes the most sense at the time. We evaluate our own processes regularly to make the most of our time.”

FloriJosen, CEO and Co-Founder at Usersnap

We have lots of fun!

Monthly team breakfasts

Every month, we get the whole team together for a typical Austrian breakfast. It’s a very informal meeting, we laugh a lot and have great fun.

Team trips

Last year, we spent a company weekend in Berlin. The entire company flew out to Berlin, where we did some fun events such as a boat tour on the Spree and visiting the Reichstag. We also go to international conferences regularly, like the Heureka Conference in Berlin.

Parties

We like to celebrate successes and have had some great parties in the past. Karaoke-singing included 🙂 We like to laugh a lot and our get-togethers are always great fun!

Healthy

Running Session

Our team joins for running sessions and wants to stay healthy. Join our regular running sessions.

Free coffee and free fruits

Coding without coffee feels like … odd. But to keep everyone on the team healthy we offer free fruits to get your daily vitamin dose.

We have a great team and we’re proud of it

Want to join our team? We are always looking for curious, smart, and driven people! Find out more about our vacancies here.
