Install the widget on your site

While working on a web project, it's important to get feedback and bug reports as easy as possible. Add a few lines of JavaScript code to your template and you will get easy to understand bug reports with Usersnap.

First of all, open the project settings by clicking on the gear button in the upper right corner of your project.

Project settings

For security reasons, you need to enter the URL of your site into the "Allow widget on sites" section. The default widget settings are a good fit for web development projects.
You can change the tools and color of the widget by clicking on the "Change color and features of the widget" button. Check out all widget settings to see what's possible!

Once you've set up your URLs, copy the JavaScript snippet to your website right before the closing </body> tag.

Your code editor

Upload the changes to your web server and you will see the Usersnap button on your page. If you are using a local development system or a protected staging system, read our protected pages setup guide
