Your data can even get deleted accidentally. A number of cloud providers can even share information with third parties for purposes of law and order. They might even do so without a warrant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But as a customer, you have to agree to their privacy policies before you sign up for their services, which means your stored data is vulnerable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you would like to tackle these risks, you should use tools like advanced security posture management (AI SPM<\/a>) which can monitor your system to spot vulnerabilities, keep everything compliant, and protect your cloud data from unauthorized access or accidental loss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It requires only a license or purchased copy of the software to operate. Since the software used is licensed and the fact that the entire instance of software remains within an organization\u2019s premises, there\u2019s more control in terms of security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But at the same time, since on-premise software requires in-house server hardware, software licenses, integration and active support from the IT wing of the organization, it\u2019s more expensive than cloud software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And it actually requires way more maintenance costs than you might think.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a recent study of IT decision makers by BT<\/a>, 49% of the respondents said they are \u2018very or extremely anxious<\/em>\u2019 about the security implications of cloud services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The study showed that for 76% of the respondents, security is the main concern when it comes to cloud-based services<\/em><\/strong>. Forty one percent of the respondents also believed that all cloud-based services are \u2018inherently insecure\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
